Robert Patrick died in his sleep, as he would have wanted it, Sunday morning April 23 2023. He was 85 years old.
Bob is legendary as the godfather of modern gay theatre, for having been Off Off-Broadway’s most produced playwright, for his association with the Caffe Cino, and for his world-renowned Kennedy’s Children.
In his later years he became a resident of Los Angeles where he enjoyed a new career as a singer, something he maintained was a lifelong ambition.
His loss is deeply felt throughout the theatre world and by countless friends .
